15/04/2009 - Reaffirming its commitment to the environment and responsible practices, EL TEJAR, joins the Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS), as a producer member.

The goals of RTRS are:
_Promote responsible soy production and processing.
_Facilitate a global dialogue.
_Mobilize and create responsibility consensus among key stakeholders and players linked to the soy industry.
_Develop and promote responsibility standards for the soy industry.
_Monitor the responsibility level of the global soy production.
_Responsible soy cropping.

In order to achieve its aim, EL TEJAR promotes an active and lasting role in the industry and a positive and enduring contribution to the communities where it operates. Traditionally, it has been applying the 5 principles that promote Responsible Soy:
_ Legal Compliance and Proper Corporate Practices.
_ Responsible Working Conditions.
_ Responsible relations within the communities.
_ Environmental Responsibility.
_ Adequate Agriculture Practices.
 
By joining the RTRS, EL TEJAR reinforces its commitment to produce in a sustainable way and to contribute to a better world.
