Double Quality Mention for El Tejar!

23/11/2009 - For the first time in its history, the National Quality Institute (Uruguay) honours an Agricultural Company with two awards.

El Tejar was awarded twice in its first presentation at the renowned National Quality Award, granted by the National Quality Institute of Uruguay.

Category: Private, Industrial, Agricultural, and Large Companies.

1) Special Mention in the SENIOR MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP area.

2) Special Mention in the COMMUNITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT area.

This is a very important prize for all companies, but even more so for El Tejar for having achieved it in the agricultural area. It is a very significant acknowledgment of the way the company carry out agriculture and livestock activities in an ecological and environmentally-friendly manner. Likewise, it is a recognition for the relationship El Tejar maintains with the communities where it operates, and for the value it generates.

The award was granted by the Vice-president of Uruguay, Mr. Rodolfo Nin Novoa, to Ismael Turban (Country Manager of El Tejar); and it is worth mentioning that, for the first time in its history, the National Quality Institute:
_ Confers two awards to an Agricultural Company.
_ Grants two special mentions to a Company which participates for the first time.
_ Awards a Special Mention in the Community and Environmental Impact Area.

These new awards explicitly acknowledge the WHOLE COMPANY of El Tejar for the work it is carrying out day by day: "something Good for the People, Good for the Communities, Good for the Environment and Profitable as well."

The National Quality Institute is a public non-governmental organization.
The National Quality Award, created in 1992, is aimed at acknowledging the organizations that apply outstanding Quality processes, through the Total Quality Management, which set an example for other institutions and for the society in general. More information at
